    VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

If you would like to volunteer once or twice a month to man our Pirate Shop, please reach out! We would benefit from parents who are available from 10:45 until 12:45 every other Friday. These people would stock the Pirate Shop and work with our student customers who wish to spend their Pirate Bucks at the store. Please call 410-643-3194 to let us know your availability. Thank you in advance!

    WELCOME, VOLUNTEERS!

We are happy to welcome volunteers into our school! If you plan to chaperone a field trip, help with special projects, assist with band or choral performances, or give your time to support our school in any way, please review the Volunteer Handbook and submit this Volunteer Application and Certification of Training. We look forward to seeing you here soon!

STMS welcomes many new staff members this school year. We will update our website this fall so you can get to know our new pirates.

Are you wondering what EEI is? It is short for Enrichment, Extension and Intervention.

One major change will be seen in our master schedule. Our days will open with a 40 minute class period we are calling "EEI," or "Enrichment, Extension, and Intervention." This class serves a multitude of purposes. First, our students who would benefit from math and/or reading interventions will be able to receive instruction every day rather than every other day during Unified Arts, as they have in the past. This will also increase the number of Unified Arts classes they can choose, creating more personalized, interest-based schedules. Enrichment classes will now be offered for our students who demonstrate giftedness in the visual and performing arts as well as in the content areas. Our Extension opportunities will offer more intensive learning on interesting topics and life skills such as Maryland geology, career development, science fiction, team sports, Roblox, and much more in six week rotations. Teachers will follow grade level standards with more time to deepen instruction than a typical pacing guide will allow.
