STMS Performing Arts Teen of the Week—Riley Rosati

STEVENSVILLE — (October 25, 2022) — Riley Rosati is a 7th grade member of the Chorus and upper level Honors Choir at Stevensville Middle School (STMS), and is the Performing Arts “Teen of the Week”!

According to her Music teacher, Mrs. Kassidy Bowman, “Riley dances and loves musical theater. She was ‘Melman, the Giraffe’ in Madagascar Jr. last year, and Riley is at dance or theater rehearsal every day of the week.”

Riley began loving theater at a young age, and remembers, “When I was like six years old I went to see The Lion King at the Hippodrome Theater and I loved it”.

When asked what makes her enjoy performing she said, “I love the nervousness that you get right before you go on stage, it’s such a rush and just so fun. I love the community and every show you do you get like a new family.”

Riley’s mom, Tori, shared in her excitement for Riley being a Performing Arts “Teen of the Week”, and beamed with pride stating, “Riley's an incredible talent. She’s a great singer and dancer, but where she really shines is in her acting ability. She's wise beyond her years and takes on any role she's given with dedication and poise. Not only is she a talented performer, but she's also academically gifted. We are so proud of her and all her accomplishments. We can't wait to see what the future holds for her.”

Her Chorus teacher, Mrs. Bowman, believes that Riley is so passionate about music and performing that “You can tell that she enjoys performing and trying her best during class. She is extremely dedicated and just wants to enjoy all of the possibilities and experiences music can provide her.”

Look for Riley at future performances at Stevensville Middle School, and in addition, she can be seen this December performing in “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” at the Garfield Center for the Arts at the Prince Theatre in Chestertown. The show runs from December 2-18, Friday-Saturday (8:00pm) & Sunday (2:00pm).
