MCAP Assessments

The MCAP Assessments measure student achievement in Algebra I, English 10, Government, and LS-MISA for high school students. The MCAP Assessments are aligned to the Maryland College and Career-Ready Standards and define the knowledge and skills all students should master by the end of each grade level in order to graduate from high school fully prepared to enter college and the workforce. If you are expecting your child to graduate with a diploma from Queen Anne’s County High School, your child must take all four of the state assessments. In addition, if your child is currently enrolled in Algebra I or an English 10 course, they must pass the Algebra I and English 10 state assessment to meet the College and Career Readiness (CCR) standard. The MCAP assessment schedule is here

Q4 Interim Reports

The halfway point to our 4th Quarter is quickly approaching!  Q4 Interim Reports will be emailed home on Friday, May 5th.  As always, please review these documents with your student and contact our teachers or school counselors with questions. The end of the semester will approach rapidly, and these reports are the best indicators of final course grades.

2023-24 TENTATIVE Schedules

Towards the end of May, all students will be receiving a copy of their 2023-24 schedule. These are tentative and will be subject to change. Currently, counselors are working to ensure that all students have a full schedule. Students wishing to make course adjustments must reach out to their counselor.

9-11th grade Laptop Collection

Our underclassmen's laptop computers and power cords will be collected at the end of the school year. We are currently generating our collection plan, and we will send a separate email later this month containing the details and dates of collection.   The students are expected to turn in their computers with the gumdrop case and both pieces of their power cords.  You can purchase a replacement power cord here

Fall 2023 Internships

Any junior considering an internship in the fall should stop by guidance to pick up paperwork and begin making those arrangements now.

Teacher Appreciation Week

Teacher Appreciation Week is May 8-12. If you would like to thank a teacher, please click here!

Prom Promise Appreciation - A Great Big Thank You!

Prom Promise is an event held annually to keep our students aware of the dangers of driving while under the influence.  This year’s assembly was a huge accomplishment, none of which would have been possible without the cooperation and participation of several local establishments. Bennett and Cohey Auto Salvage, Parks Tire & Auto Service, the Department of Emergency Services, the Goodwill Fire Company, the QAC Sheriff's Office, and Mr. Lance Richardson all took part in this assembly. Queen Anne’s County High School wishes to thank each one of you for your partnership and assistance in making this assembly such a huge success.
