Support Staff Hiring Information 

    Thank you for your interest in a career with Queen Anne’s County Public Schools.  Below is a brief outline of our employment and hiring process for support staff.

    Step 1: Submit an application online 

    Step 2:  Screening
    All applications are reviewed to determine whether the applicant meets the requirements for the position. Applications are then reviewed by principals and their administrative staff to determine the most suitable candidates for the position.

    Step 3:  Interviews
    When a vacancy occurs, interviews are scheduled for applicants whose qualifications make them the most suitable for the position.  Candidates are interviewed by a minimum of two administrators and/or supervisors. Interviews are scheduled at the work location where the vacancy exists or in Human Resources.  After candidates are interviewed the committee makes recommendations to the Human Resources Officer. Candidates may be asked back for a second interview or to interview with panel if multiple positions are available. Individuals not recommended for a specific vacancy will receive notification by mail and continue to be considered for other positions.

    Step 4:  Appointment
    Appointment to a position is made after a candidate has verbally accepted an offer from Human Resources.  Employment is conditional upon satisfactory background check results.

    Step 5:  Hiring
    An orientation appointment will be set through the Human Resources office for fingerprinting and paperwork.
