I grew up in Anne Arundel County and went to the University of Maryland, College Park, where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education.  I also earned my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from McDaniel College.  I am married to Joe, a firefighter for Prince George’s County, and I have one son, Jayce.  He will be starting Kindergarten this year and he is the light of my life!
