Parents or teachers that suspect a child has a disability may refer the child to the IEP (Individualized Education Program) team by contacting Mrs. Jackie Holkovic at school. Students who have been diagnosed with a handicapping condition are eligible for special education services to help them fully participate in the school program. IEPs are updated at least once a year. Special education is a service, not a place, and these services can be delivered by special educators, trained paraeducators, and general educators. Grasonville Elementary School makes every effort to educate students in their regular classrooms.
If you have questions regarding your child's program or special education procedures contact one of the teachers listed above at 410-827-8070.
If you would like information or resources on disabilities and community services contact Jennifer Doege at the Partners for Success Parent Center located at the Board of Education of Queen Anne's County at 410-758-2403 ext. 135.
