Degrees and Certifications:
Mary Curry- 8th Grade Math Teacher
I started my career in education at Queen Anne’s County High School in January 2003 as a Behavior Specialist. After finishing my Graduate degree in Education at Wilmington University, I eventually transitioned into the role of a special education teacher. For a few years, I served as a Special Education Teacher Specialist in a neighboring county. I realized that I missed the daily interactions with students and decided to return to the classroom. I also returned to Queen Anne’s County where I knew that my daughter would receive a top notch education.
My daughter will be attending Kent Island High School this year and will be a junior. She is currently on the Varsity Cheerleading Team as well as their competition team. You will likely find me at many KI football and basketball games in the stands this year! She also competes on the track team for long jump, triple jump, and is learning how to do the high jump. We enjoy going to the beach and watching movies together. We adopted a dog from the Humane Society in June who is an American Bully and we named him Kash. In the winter I love watching college basketball, especially my alma mater…. The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I am over the moon to meet all of my students and accomplish great things!
