Fourth and fifth graders participate in a service learning project that earns them 1 service learning credit as they leave elementary school. 

The project that GES 4th and 5th graders are starting is creating a pollinator garden on the school premisis. 

This project was introduced to students right after Thanksgiving, with a presentation from Shore Rivers. This focused on pollinators and plant parts necessary for pollination. Student interest is very high. 

The research portion will begin after the holidays, allowing for construction of the garden in early/mid spring.
