Personal Info:

I am originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania but I am now very happy to call the Eastern Shore of Maryland my home.  I currently live in Easton with my husband George, who is the Math Specialist at Matapeake Middle School, my son Jacob (7 years) and my daughter Alexis (3 years).  This will be my 13th year teaching elementary school!  I spent the first nine years of my career teaching 3rd grade at Denton Elementary in Caroline County and this will be my 4th year teaching 4th grade at MES!  When I am not teaching, I like to spend time with my family and friends, play board games, and root for my favorite Pittsburgh sports teams!

What’s the “BUZZ” in Mrs. McNamee’s Classroom?:

In my classroom, we work hard to “BEE”-come a “Hive of Learners,” and by doing so, we will make the world a “sweeter” place!  We learn together how to “BEE” kind, how to “BEE” perseverant, and how to “BEE” resourceful during our educational journey as a classroom community.  My hope is that the students will dedicate their growth and learning over this next year to “BEE”-ing the positive change that we want to see in our community, our country and our world!
