Degrees and Certifications:

Meet Mrs. Wright

I grew up in Betterton, Maryland, and graduated from Kent County High School in 1988.   I graduated from Salisbury University in 1992 with a  bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I met my husband during college, and we have lived in Queen Anne’s County for 27 years. I taught for 9 years in Kent County and during that time I earned a Master's degree in School Counseling and graduated from  Wilmington University.  I left teaching to stay at home with my 3 boys.   I started working again as a  paraeducator for Queen Anne’s County Public Schools and obtained my teacher certification for special education.    I have lived in Centreville for 21 years.  My three boys have all attended schools in QAC and are all graduates of QACHS.

My oldest just graduated from  Norwich University in Vermont. My second son is attending Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, and my third son will be a freshman at Union College in Schenectady, New York this fall.   I feel so blessed to be teaching at Centreville Elementary.   I enjoy reading on the beach, hiking in the mountains, eating chocolate, and spending time with my family.  I’m looking forward to a year of fun and learning at CES.
