Kent Island Elementary is an exciting place to be! We have just over 400 boys and girls in our "bushel basket" here at KIES.  

 

Our parents are "number ones," they are critical to our success. They show support by volunteering and joining the PTA. The PTA provides funding to support our school for which we are grateful.

 

Our staff is "steaming" with compassion, innovation, competency, and confidence. They work endlessly to make a difference in the lives of our students.  They support the vision "All students will be challenged to achieve their maximum potential academically in a nurturing, challenging, and safe learning environment."

 

We believe Kent Island Elementary School is the "pot" to be in, where children are respected, nurtured, and celebrated. Here at KIES students will always be encouraged to strive as they grow and develop. We will always expect and maintain high expectations for students, staff, and families as we "clinch" on to learning in the 21st century.
