• Service learning projects are provided each year, in 4th to 9th grades, for a total of 5 credits.  You do not need to go outside CMS to receive this credit. However, volunteering outside school is still encouraged for admittance into the National Junior Honor Society and for future college applications.

Service learning provides students with the opportunity to experience volunteering for our community.  It is a method of teaching and learning that challenges students to implement solutions to real needs in their school or community as part of their curriculum.
