    QACPS HIGH SCHOOL-SUMMER 2021-CREDIT RECOVERY

    July 12th - August 5th (Monday – Thursday)

There is no fee this year for summer school/credit recovery.

    Statement of Understanding/Student Conduct

Summer School courses are offered to students who have not been successful in passing core academic or specific state required classes.  The courses offered this summer will be based on enrollment, staffing, and scheduling. We cannot guarantee any course offering. Notification of any changes or cancellations will occur before Summer School begins on July 12th, 2021. Courses may only be taken for credit recovery, not original credit.

Summer School courses are blended courses that will require a minimum of 2.75 hours per day of engagement per course, both in person and online.  Students may attend one or both sessions offered daily depending on the student’s credit needs and class availability.  Sessions are from 8:00am-10:45am and from 11:00 am-1:45 pm.  Transportation is available to and from summer school with pick-up and drop-offs at KIHS, GES, and SMS.

Summer School will be in session on the following days: July 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th, August 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th.  Students will receive breakfast when they arrive and they will receive a take home lunch daily.

    Student Conduct Policy

The QACPS Discipline Code is in effect for Summer School. Students are expected to behave in a courteous, respectful manner towards students and staff. Students who violate the QACPS Discipline Code will face consequences and may be removed from the QACPS Summer School program.
