    Assessment and Data Management

    Vision Statement:

    The Office of Accountability, Assessment and Data Management will assist school personnel and central office staff in the use of a wide range of assessment data and tools to evaluate programs and school improvement goals, including those directly related to student achievement and school performance.

    Mission Statement:

    The office of Accountability works with data required by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).  This includes overseeing the administration of the Maryland Comprehensive Assessment Program (MCAP) by administering state assessments for Reading, Math, and Science, and Social Studies. 

    District Areas of Support:

    Supervises the administration of all state assessments: MCAP English\Language Arts, MCAP Math, Maryland Integrated Science Assessment (MISA), HSA Government, HS MISA, Multi-State Alternative Assessment (MSAA), WIDA ACCESS, etc.  

    Coordinates and provides assistance for national tests: PSAT, SAT, AP, CogAT, NAEP.

    Monitors student achievement and reports on results to various stakeholders.

    Maintains PowerSchool, the student information system, and the learning management system, Schoology.

    Maintains data reporting and applications; including the Performance Matters platform, Pearson Access, and other instructional data systems.

    Prepares, creates, and compiles electronic data, testing files and reports for district, state and federal reporting requirements. 

    Manages the creation of online assessments (OLA), answer keys, and scan sheets for district created assessments in Performance Matters.

    Conducts statistical research and/or analysis to improve learning outcomes for all students while targeting strategies to close achievement gaps.

    Disseminates information regarding assessment initiatives to appropriate staff as needed.

    Collects and calculates Teacher Principal Evaluation (TPE) Data and provides training and assistance to administrators on TPE Databases.
