Welcome to March! Quarter 3 Interim Reports were emailed home last Friday, February 24. Please take a moment to review this document with your child and contact our teachers or counselors with questions. Quarter 3 ends on March 29.
QACHS Spring Musical
Join us on March 3, 4, and 11 at 7:00 PM or March 12 at 2:00 PM in the John F. Andrews Performing Arts Center at QACHS as students perform the musical The Wizard of Oz. Tickets can be purchased at the theatre box office before each show or online at: qachstheatre.ludus.com. Prices are $12 for adults; $8 for students/seniors and $3 for children under 5. Concessions and other items will also be available for purchase before & after the show - all proceeds support the QACHS theatre program! See the attached flier for more information! We look forward to seeing you there!

Prom Tickets
Beginning on Monday, March 27th through Friday, March 31st, senior class prom tickets will go on sale during all lunch shifts. The cost is $10.00 per ticket. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to the class advisors, Ms. Jenneen Ferragamo and Ms. Catherine Stamler.

Graduation Announcements
Jostens will be at QACHS on Thursday, March 17, during all lunch shifts to distribute graduation items that were previously ordered - other than cap and gowns which will be delivered in May. If you have not ordered a cap and gown, you may place your order that day. You must have a cap and gown to participate in graduation, place those orders soon!
Dual Enrollment
Chesapeake College will be hosting an Open House on March 10th for students interested in learning more about Chesapeake and dual enrollment. This is a field trip and is open to students who requested dual enrollment or seniors planning to attend next year. It is a first come first served basis. Obtain a permission slip from your grade level counselor.
2023-2024 Class Scheduling
Last month, all students entered their course requests for the 2023-2024 school year. This is the first step in ensuring that your student has an accurate academic schedule. Scheduling screens are now turned off to students. Please contact your school counselor to make any changes or to review requests.
AP Test Registration Deadline
Any student who is planning to take any AP exams must pay the $97.00 fee for each AP exam. All money must be submitted to guidance by MARCH 10th. Otherwise, it may not be possible to order a test in time. We will only order tests for those who have registered by that date. Please do not delay! Deadline is approaching.
SENIORS: It’s Scholarship Time!
Seniors, please continue to check your Naviance account - new scholarships are being added each week! Deadlines to apply for scholarships are also starting to happen in March. Don’t miss an opportunity for money! “You gotta play to win”!
JUNIORS: Maryland Girls & Boys State
Applications are now being accepted for any junior male student interested in attending Boy’s State. Juniors must apply now for this summer experience in the summer. Students should inquire with their counselor.
SAT Day
Our Juniors will be taking the SAT during school on March 22. All other students will follow their regular class schedule. Students taking the test should bring two #2 pencils and a calculator for testing. The test is being given free of charge to students. Students can obtain practice guides from our School Counseling Office and should visit www.collegeboard.org for practice problems and test-taking tips. The SAT continues to be a very important element of the college application and scholarship process. Please see your counselor if you have questions about the SAT or if you are interested in our one-semester SAT Prep classes next year.
ASVAB Testing
Juniors with English this semester - Spring ASVAB Testing will take place on the morning of March 16 during 1st and 2nd periods. Any senior interested must sign up in guidance.
Maryland School Survey
The Maryland School Survey will be administered to students in grades 9 - 11 on March 8. Students will take the survey within their first-period class. The survey collects important information about relationships, engagement, the school environment, and safety. School leaders use results to learn about and improve the school community.

ATHLETIC INFORMATION
Get Ready for Spring Sports!!
Spring Sports Orientation
Spring sports orientation will be held on [EDIT: Date Change:] February 22nd at 5:00 PM. This is an opportunity to meet all of the spring sports coaches. Tryouts will begin on March 1st. In order to try out, you must have an updated physical and complete our registration process which can be found at FormReleaf. Prospective student-athletes can begin registering on February 17th.
On February 24, the Q3 Interim Reports will be emailed to you. Please review these reports with your child and contact his or her school counselor or teacher with questions or concerns.
Free Sports Physicals will be offered February 23, 2023 at Queen Anne’s County High School from 2:30 to 4:30 pm.
Students must come with their completed physical form and Choptank enrollment completed either online or by form. Parents do not need to be present if they have given verbal permission for their child to be seen by the provider.
